Stressed Out

Welcome to my final action project for the class called Cure. For this final unit of Cure, we mainly focused on math equations. But there were some other things like how a disease or disorder can be passed down in a family tree. For this action project, I will be coming up with a patient and making demographics for him. I named the patient Ted Lurchenson. He is a clothes designer who has high blood pressure passed down to him in his family tree. These demographics will contain information about his family tree, current lifestyle, etc. This action project relates to Cure because I am coming up with treatment options of many kinds to help cure this patient of high blood pressure. I do that by coming up with options for a new diet, exercise, and medications. I had a lot of fun making this action project and with this class. I hope you enjoy!

The research I have done for this literature review all had one thing in common, which are the things  we can do to save the planet. However, these are not like the more simple ideas you are normally suggested, like solar panels and planting more trees. These are unique and intuitive ideas we can use to start tackling these planet related issues from a new perspective. Delivering ecosystem services primarily means creating large scale methods or changes for the Earth’s benefit. This can be done in many ways in which people are currently working on. Our class recently completed H2O: Unit 1 (71%). In this unit, we learned about the challenges people face to acquire fresh, potable water. In many developing countries, including areas of the United States, people struggle for access to this vital resource.  The mission of the first H2O Field Experience was to carry water 0.2 miles from the Chicago River back to GCE Lab School. During the experience, my body felt incredibly sore trying to navigate the bumpy sidewalks with heavy buckets on wheels. Pushing the large buckets over cracks proved to be difficult. Psychologically, I became frustrated about how slow I was moving and how heavy and awkward the buckets were. The most challenging part of this External Investigation was when the buckets fell over three separate times, spilling much of my original water supply. Welcome to my second Action Project blog for Population class. In this unit, we studied how species thrive in their natural habitats and how their special traits allow them to do so. A Field Experience to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum taught us about many different landscapes and the animals that live in them. The purpose of this AP was to discover if a certain species or organism could survive in a habitat different from it's own. The species I chose to study was the Chinese Water Dragon, also known by it's scientific name  Physignathus cocincinus. I, hypothetically, altered the Chinese Water Dragon's tropical Asian climate by drying it out.
