Reincarnation Rhapsody

A Doll's House by Ibsen is a story about Nora, a mother of three children, who is the wife of a wealthy husband named Torvald. Nora suffers from the stress of being exposed for committing forgery by a man named Krogstad. She has a huge debt to pay back for borrowing a lot of money to go on a vacation that saved Torvald’s life and is kept a secret to this day. At the end of the play, Nora got to know who Torvald really was and left him, her house, and her children behind in search of a new life. This play of ours must include Nora as a character. Me and my classmates were split up into groups of three. Each group had a male character, who played as himself, and two female characters - Nora and someone of their choosing from “The Dinner Party” by Judy Chicago, which is an artwork installation that symbolizes history of women in society. Our objective in this play is to discuss gender equality in marriages, so we chose Hera to be another character who is the Goddess of Marriage and is also included in “The Dinner Party”. The research I have done for this literature review all had one thing in common, which are the things  we can do to save the planet. However, these are not like the more simple ideas you are normally suggested, like solar panels and planting more trees. These are unique and intuitive ideas we can use to start tackling these planet related issues from a new perspective. Delivering ecosystem services primarily means creating large scale methods or changes for the Earth’s benefit. This can be done in many ways in which people are currently working on. Simple examples of this action include planting more trees, or creating an eco-friendly version of a product that can be used instead of the original one. Our class recently completed H2O: Unit 1 (71%). In this unit, we learned about the challenges people face to acquire fresh, potable water. In many developing countries, including areas of the United States, people struggle for access to this vital resource.  The mission of the first H2O Field Experience was to carry water 0.2 miles from the Chicago River back to GCE Lab School. During the experience, my body felt incredibly sore trying to navigate the bumpy sidewalks with heavy buckets on wheels. Pushing the large buckets over cracks proved to be difficult. Psychologically, I became frustrated about how slow I was moving and how heavy and awkward the buckets were. The most challenging part of this External Investigation was when the buckets fell over three separate times, spilling much of my original water supply. Welcome to my second Action Project blog for Population class. In this unit, we studied how species thrive in their natural habitats and how their special traits allow them to do so. A Field Experience to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum taught us about many different landscapes and the animals that live in them. The purpose of this AP was to discover if a certain species or organism could survive in a habitat different from it's own. The species I chose to study was the Chinese Water Dragon, also known by it's scientific name  Physignathus cocincinus. I, hypothetically, altered the Chinese Water Dragon's tropical Asian climate by drying it out.
